What Happened: In his book Permanent Record, NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden states, “For the record, as far as I could tell, aliens have never contacted Earth or at least they haven’t contacted US intelligence.” He also addressed the topic on Joe Rogan’s podcast, stating that that he had “ridiculous access to the networks of the NSA, the CIA, the military, all these groups. I couldn’t find anything, he continued. ” So if it’s hidden, and it could be hidden, it’s hidden really damn well, even from people who are on the inside.”
It’s unfortunate that Snowden did not comment on the UFO topic, given the fact that we know now UFOs are real and that multiple intelligence agencies have been collecting information about them for decades. This is now a matter of public record. In fact, intelligence agencies will release what they know about UFOs, which many believe does not warrant an extraterrestrial explanation, in a few short months. These days it’s hard to expect any sort of truth from the government in my opinion.
Obviously, Snowden had a very high security clearance, but it’s unclear whether or not he’s actually researched the topic at all. Granted, he didn’t come across any information suggesting that extraterrestrials are real or have been visiting Earth, but others with such security clearances, perhaps even higher than Snowden, have. Based on my research into this topic for more than fifteen years, I’ve found that those with the highest security clearances, like CIA directors or presidents, for example, do not and have not had access to information pertaining to this subject. That’s why I was glad he mentioned that “it could be hidden” and “it’s hidden really damn well” because from what I’ve discovered, this is indeed the case and it’s something that’s been expressed by many.
Take Apollo 14 astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, for example, who claimed to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we are being visited and have been visited by intelligent life from elsewhere. In Dr. Steven Greer’s film, unacknowledged, he explains how himself and Mitchell had multiple meetings with the highest ranking intelligence people within the Pentagon who also expressed that they had zero access to information on the subject.
Eric W. Davis, a renowned astrophysicist who worked with the Pentagon UFO program stated that he gave a classified briefing to a Defense Department Agency, as recently as March 2020, about retrievals from “off-world vehicles not made on this Earth. This was covered by the New York Times. Since the leak of this document, there has been no denial publicly by Davis regarding the authenticity of these documents, and the focal point of the document is about a meeting (and what happened after that meeting) that took place in 1997 between UFO researcher Dr. Steven Greer, Admiral Wilson, Dr. Edgar Mitchell (Apollo 14 astronaut) and other high ranking individuals within the military, as mentioned in the paragraph above. This meeting was spoken about by Dr. Greer and Dr. Mitchell nearly four years prior to the leak of these documents in the documentary mentioned above , so it’s all very interesting to get this kind of confirmation and corroboration.
This is just one example. I can tell you based on my research that the secrecy behind this subject is unprecedented. But this is nothing new.
Why This Is Important: According to the estimates of some, the US government alone classifies up to 500 million pages of documents every single year, for the purpose of protecting ‘national security.’ Our world is drenched in secrecy, and it’s reached a point where we don’t really know what’s happening on our planet. The United States has a history of government agencies existing in secret for years. The National Security Agency (NSA) was founded in 1952, its existence was hidden until the mid 1960’s. Even more secretive is the National Reconnaissance Office, which was founded in 1960 but remained completely secret for 30 years.
“National security” has now become an umbrella term to classify any information that threatens certain corporate or political agendas.
This is why we musn’t be so quick to label something a “conspiracy theory.” Mainstream UFO disclosure is and has been ramping up, which is confusing to many given the fact that the topic was subjected to an “official campaign of ridicule and secrecy” as expressed by former CIA director Roscoe Hillenkoetter, for so long. You can read more about that discussion and the concerns people have regarding possible deception, here.
Final Thoughts: At the end of the day, is it really so far fetched to think that we’ve been visited by intelligent beings from other worlds? We know so little, we are still a race in its infancy and we have so much to discover. Think about it, if you were an intelligent being observing another planet with “intelligent” life on it, what would you do? If it were me, I would survey the planet for quite some time. If I was an intelligent being from elsewhere, I could either classify our species as a violent one, or a beautiful one, or a mix of the two. In all honesty it would be quite disturbing and perhaps even scary to attempt flying around in our atmosphere given the fact that our planet is and has been plagued with war and weaponry.
Given the fact that governments have seemed desperate to capture UFO technology, and that the protocol has always been to “shoot first and ask questions after” (Paul Hellyer) I would be extra careful.
The idea that we are not alone has huge implications and leaves no aspect of humanity untouched. Human beings still have a long way to go, our tendency to label things, believe everything is a “conspiracy theory” or some type of great deception plan often gets in the way of our ability discern what is and what isn’t. At the end of the day, I would hope the phenomenon somehow encourages people to ask more questions about our planet, why we live the way we do, why we keep so many secrets from each other and why did we create the current human experience when we have the solutions and the ability to create a human experience where all life on this planet can can truly thrive?
The solutions are there, that’s not the problem, so if that’s the case what continues to prevent these solutions from ever seeing the light of day? When it comes to UFOs, perhaps technology can be of assistance, but the most important thing is the consciousness behind our technological discoveries. What do we use new discoveries for, do we use them to build weapons, to control people and to make a profit or do we use them for the benefit of all?
On a final note, I do not believe the discovery of intelligent extraterrestrial life is something for governments to tell us, I believe it is and will be a citizens initiative.
