Numerology: Here’s What Your Birth Date Says About You

Growing up I was always interested in things like astrology and numerology. Regardless of the fact that many people view it as silly or vague explanations that could apply to everyone. But a GOOD astrology or numerology reading actually tells you A LOT about yourself and in ways that would surprise you.

Numerology has its roots deep in history. Very early philosophers believed that numbers were a universal language offered to humans by ‘the divine.’ They believe they represented an ultimate truth. This of course became more of a lost art once the Christian church rose and suddenly this was seen more as a black art. The church also went on to classify astrology and other forms of magic as evil and having no place in society.

Still the questioned for me remained, is there any truth to numerology? Or even astrology? I decided to find out for myself.

Life Path Number

I’ve done a number of astrology readings both for myself personally and for CE, and I can tell you how immensely accurate and helpful they were, especially when they can provide information that helps you navigate upcoming decisions. To be clear, I’m not talking about opening the newspaper and looking at the cheesy horoscope section that seems to apply to everyone, I’m talking about very real and specific details that literally helped me and my business/life decisions immensely. (no they weren’t predictions)

But let’s talk about numerology for a second. Does it work? One of the things that has fascinated me the most about numerology is the life path number. This is the most important number in a persons numerology chart. It’s a single number based on your date of birth that can tell you a lot about yourself and begin to explore the surprisingly accurate ‘code’ behind your life and your path.

Let’s be clear so as to not get hoaky here, this isn’t meant to project and predict your future, that wouldn’t even serve us to know these things, this is meant to help you understand more about yourself and your inclinations, gifts and tools you have in your life that can help you live your purpose and passion. It’s useful, simple and powerful.

How You Can Determine Your Life Path Number

Use the formula below to find out your life path number, alternatively, you can get a free and very in depth report at a site I’ve used before called Numerologist.com

1. Begin with your full birth date.

Example: DECEMBER 19, 2009

2. Reduce the month, day and year down to a single digit by adding them.

MONTH:

December is the 12th month
Add 1 + 2 = 3

DAY:

The day of birth is 19
Add 1 + 9 = 10.
Keep
 adding to digit down to a one-digit number:
1 + 0 = 1

YEAR:

The year of birth is 2009
Add all four numbers together: 2 + 0 + 0 + 9 = 11.
Continue adding until you get a one-digit number: 
1 + 1 = 2

3. Now add the resulting single digits together to get the Life Path Number.

Month=3 + Day=1 + Year=2
3 + 1 + 2 = 6

The Life Path number is 6.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Let’s say your birthday is May 22, 1955. Because the day is a master number (11,22 or 33) you calculate it like this:

Day: 22 = 22 (Because 11, 22, 33 are master numbers)
Month: July is the 7th month = 7
Year: 1953 = 1+9+5+3 = 18 = 1+8 = 9

22+7+9 = 38 = 3+8 = 11 (Because 11 is also a master number, it should not be reduced.)
Life Path Number = 11

Notice that if you arrive at 11, 22, or 33 in your life path number, you do not reduce them any further.

Although there are other methods for calculating your Life Path number, this is the only one that is correct according to numerologists. It is said that the other methods follow the wrong “path” of calculation. This can leave you with missing master numbers of incorrect conclusions.

The method we explored above is the only one that acknowledges the Life Path as a cycle, one that runs from birth to death and interacts with the other numerological cycles of your life.

If it is no done correctly, you will be left with confusing and chaotic readings that won’t make sense.
