Planet Earth and the human race have continually gone through dramatic, paradigm shifting transformations throughout history. For example, we once thought the earth to be flat, but now we know it to be round. This is one example of many where the curtain has been pulled back and as a result the way we see and perceive the world has completely changed.
These shifts haven’t happened in what we would consider “rapid time” throughout our lives, but today things are different and multiple paradigm shifting realizations are occurring on multiple levels all at the same time. Millions of people across the globe are waking up to what’s really happening on the planet, and more people are beginning to question it and ask themselves, does it really have to be this way? What’s going on? Why aren’t we living in peace? Why aren’t we living in balance with mother nature? Why does money have to come in the way of basic human necessity?
What exactly have we created for ourselves here? Do we really need to spend a large chuck of our entire human experience working to acquire little tiny pieces of paper, so that we can exchange that paper for our necessities and wants, with hardly any time to live freely? Not too smart is it? Why can’t these necessities be available to everyone, for nothing? Why do we glorify the idea of “being busy?”
The system of finance and economics we chose to surround ourselves with always people to justify the need for money. Education in particular has made it very hard for some to see a better way, but the solutions are out there and we are definitely capable of it. You should not have to pay for live, it’s a right given to us when we are birthed into this world.
Our educational institutions teach us about finance, economics and how the world works without questioning it. We are taught that this is the way it is, and that it is necessary to avoid complete chaos. Do we not already live in a world full of chaos? Is this really the only way? Why do so many of us just accept it?
Most of the things we acquire aren’t even our wants, they come from a lifetime of programming, they come from a specific picture that’s painted for us, a life to follow, a certain way to be, how to live and what to do with our life. Most (if not all) of our wants are the byproduct of clever marketing.
Meanwhile, while we are busy taking care of ourselves and trying to survive, our attention is turned away from what’s really happening to our planet. In order to preserve our current way of life, we destroy our planet, strip it of its natural resources, murder animals and their homes, continue to throw toxic chemicals into the atmosphere and watch as billions of people around the world live in complete poverty, and that’s not all. Time is something we’re running out of, and that’s why so many souls across the planet are feeling a deep desire to step away from the way things are today, step outside of it and begin creating something new, a paradigm shift, a desire to show the world that yes, a utopian society is possible, it is achievable and it is necessary if we want to move forward as one human race.
What we spend on war in a few days could feed the entire planet for one year. We have more than enough means and necessities to provide everybody on the planet with clean water, food and shelter. So ask yourself, why don’t we? Who is thriving off of keeping so many people in such a harsh environment, especially when we have the means to make things better?
What is money? It’s tiny pieces of paper and digits on a computer that we believe is needed to survive, to live comfortably and more. We give so much power to it without recognizing that the power lies within us. So, again, why is the medium for accessing the world’s “resources” this little piece of paper? Why can’t everyone have free access to human necessities? Food, shelter and water, especially when it is clear that we have the means to do so?
Our bodies of governance give us the illusion that these problems are being discussed and tackled, that programs are constantly put into place by peace keeping organizations to solve these problems and that they are complicated issues. The truth is, it’s not that complicated, so what’s really going on?
This is a prison type environment that forces us to depend on others, instead of ourselves. I have a hard time believing how we can continually sustain a system that no longer resonates with anybody, and continues to destroy our planet.
Our time for change is now, the window of opportunity grows shorter and we must shift the planet. This shifting requires drastic changes on multiple levels that range from energy, health , education and more. It starts with waking up, questioning what you believe and taking in new information and evidence with an open mind. Sometimes, what we fear (change) can prevent us from seeing things in a clearer way.
Imagine a race that has evolved past the concepts of greed, war, fear, ego, money and competition (we are also heavily marketed and programmed with these concepts) to one that lives in cooperation, understanding, peace , sharing and love. From this place of freedom we could very easily access our unlimited potential, which (as one human race) is huge.
I know many of you think that this type of large scale change is not possible, I am here to tell you that it really is possible, and we do have the potential to do it. Will we succeed? Our race must evolve past these archaic concepts if it is to join the greater community that awaits us.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world, indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has” – Margaret Mead
Right now, we are living in very special times. For those who work directly in the “world change” department, it’s very easy to see. So many things have been happening, and so much light has been shed on concepts that people were afraid to question.
“We must do away with the absolutely specious notion that everybody has to earn a living. It is a fact today that one in ten thousand of us can make a technological breakthrough capable of supporting all the rest. We keep inventing jobs because of this false idea that everybody has to be employed at some kind of drudgery because, according to a Malthusian-Darwinian theory, we must justify our right to exist.” – Buckminster Fuller
Here is a great little video that makes a number of related points for us all to take in and think about:

There is a Grandiose idea of HUMANDKIND RELINQUISHING THE USE OF MONEY. An idea that is surely firing through the Natural Mystic of the Spiritual Network of Conected Minds n Souls on Earth…
Not only is it a good idea, it seems like the best idea, the simplest, the keenest, the most spiritual. What would Jesus Christ say? But as always the key is Unity. So TOTAL UNITY is key. World Wide at one time, We decide not to use money anymore and simply use our hearts and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us.
When? Well every culture has the custom of having a New Year Resolution. The calling in of a New Beginning, a new chapter. So a new Year seems like the best time.
New Years 2015 Maybe?
With the internet and Technology it should be an easy task to organize this Epic Move.
Since the Industrial Revolution, the World had and has the exponential ability to provide more than the basics for more than 10 times the current world population.
When money and separatism is no longer an issue, Humankind will see leaps in technological advances that we never thought attainable in our lives. Without the use of money, all of Humanity (those that wish to) will live in a level of luxury, comfort, automation and abundance that not even the richest Elites alive now would ever see in 1000 years (asuming we stayed in a capitalist-slavalist system.
We know that the shortest distance between 2 points is a direct line. The shortest route to Heaven on Earth is also a direct line.
This can be applied to the social dilemma in which We find Ourselves as a Whole here on Earth with imperial, capitalist Worldwide oppression, suffering and death. This is especially important to the Struggles that seek to free Humankind from the evils of ‚man” that causes this massive and unnecessary hell. So if We are at the Present (Point 1 – Hell) and We wish to be at another point, a better point, in actuality the Future (Point 2 – Heaven), We should in effect just draw a direct line.
The key lies in drawing a direct line which means just going there by simply manifesting the actions and reality of life at point two and We immediately create that seemingly impossible dream/goal of Utopi a – Heaven on Earth. This can be achieved only if We collectively realize it.
The critical question is deciding what point 2 should be. The answer is simply Heaven or Utopia. If We are in Hell, We need to be in Heaven, so that should be Our only goal. Most importantly it should be an immediate goal, not one that will be accomplished one of these days, or more like one of these years or even centuries, if the current strategies of asking for crumbs from ‚corrupt governments and regimes? still persists.
A BETTER WORLD NOT ONLY IS POSSIBLE, IT IS A MUST.
UTOPIA OR BUST should be the BUMPER STICKER.

Peace be with you and Us.
I have a lot of questions. I have been reading your book. Do you have an email?
Hello Brent. email is claudevmartins@Y@ahoo.com
Thanks for sharing the link to what you have written. You’ve definitely sparked my curiosity, as I feel like a gift economy would be much more facilitative to attaining a better world, if not our potential; as opposed to gift giving being relegated to “special” occasions that seldom occur throughout the year. Everybody ought to be granted access to means of production. To expound upon what this might look like: if somebody is too lazy to make himself a coat for winter, I’m sure somebody else–somebody who actually wants to do something, as opposed to John’s view that everybody is inherently lazy lol–will be happy to do it for him.
Further, I suppose that we would produce, ultimately, less stuff, yet become more efficient; because I also suppose that we would experience a greater, more potent sensation of fulfilment, satisfaction, whatever, if we were literally afforded the freedom to pursue our dearest passions.
Exactly Anthony, only yesterday I was explaining to someone that in the current system there is so much waste because there is no World Unity and Organization of Production. It is so easy to know what every single Human Being wants/needs and produce it. In the current system factories produce millions of products that no one wants or needs, which are faulty and surely toxic.
Instead we would produce only what is needed/wanted and it would be the highest quality products. Eficiency to the fullest.
And as you said, We will definitely experience greater fullfillment in Life. Only those that wish to cooperate will volunteer and will do whatever they wish to do, and so they/We will do it with Love and Passion.
Yep.
Imagine THAT!
No more product obsolescence, which is critical.
Utopia is an unrealistic concept because it implies ‘perfection’ and that you achieved the best possible state of being where further change and progress are not possible.
Life is not static.
The purpose is to create an EMERGING SOCIETY… overall C. Martins, what you mentioned prior to ‘utopia’, was attainable a long time ago.
What we can do, is create a much better world compared to what we have today.
Yes, we had the science and technology to do so decades ago.
The one viable alternative is a Resource Based Economy – The Venus Project – terminologies coined by Jacque Fresco.
I suggest people look into it.
We are heading towards a collapse of a monetary system due to technological automation… and that’s a good thing… problem is, a great portion of the human population remains in the dark of what’s happening, which is further complicated by technology being portrayed as something to be feared (or that machines will turn around and kill us).
Realistically, Hollywood (and other) type movies were made by people who have a limited understanding of science, technology and human behavior.
Movies are usually not made to educate… they are usually made to get people PROFITS.
Peter Posavec, I hear you and yes I agree with the Venus Project and its Resource Based Economy as a better alternative to capitalism but why stop there or why aim for half the pie? That is my point. Let us not waste time and lives by aiming for crumbs. We must aim for Utopia. It will still be a Resource Based System but money must no be used. As soon as we include money as a factor, inequality and injustice will be present also.
Trust me: Money is NOT NECESSARY ANYMORE and is a detrement and the tool by which we are being exploited.
Every daring attempt to make a great change in existing conditions, every lofty vision of new possibilities for the human race, has been labelled Utopian. EMMA GOLDMAN
Our problem in this Wolrd of language and ¨changing definitions¨ is that we need to learn not to be so ¨dogmatic¨ as they say. In this case or better yet, in ¨your case¨, you need to loosen the definition of the word, ¨Utopia¨ and add some elasticity to it for as you said, ¨Nothing is Static¨. And so definitions cannot be static.
When I say Utopia I always say, ¨As much as a Heaven on Earth that we can Create at each moment¨. It does not mean we will not progress and advance for that is built into our Genetic Program.
The point is that we must aim for Utopia. Utopia keeps it all simple. Live as if GOD is the Mayor or President etc. We live without politics, without borders, without money and yes without economics and the damn stock market.
I know it is difficult to relinquish the strings of custom but at least You Know that we must MAKE A CHANGE.
NAMASTE
Everybody should have access to means of production!
Paper?! My answer is Direct Deposit. Simple. It’s also MUCH better than carrying a cow (or, worse, half a cow) home every week.
Or, you propose, everyone gets everything for nothing. That’d produce too many lazy louts. Who or what would produce?
Hello John, The truth is that those that wish to be lazy can be lazy if they wish, it will not affect the majority in anyway, only them. With the current technological advances, especially robotics and automation, not much Human labor is needed anymore. If you don´t believe that then please take the time to view this video which gets into detail about such things.

A new world is possible only if YOU! accept it as Your and Our reality.
Peace be with US.
A world without money would produce too many lazy louts? Really? Have you not heard of purpose, or passion, or curiosity, or fulfilment, or even well being? All of those are incentives and motivational forces that drive the human will in spite of the predominant existence of money…
