The Dalai Lama shares his interesting views on what we could do in the event of an extraterrestrial visitor coming to Earth. It’s always interesting to hear somebody with a far reaching voice bring up this topic, as it is a very popular one today. I definitely resonate with what he says, that everything is interconnected, we are all one and we can see everything and everyone else as another facet of ourselves.
It’s not really a spiritual belief anymore that we are all interconnected, modern science is also catching on to this fact. The interconnectedness of all things is a great example of that. Until we are ready to see everyone who lives on Earth like this, we might not be ready to do it with those that reside on worlds beyond our own. Having said that, I do believe we are moving towards contact at an exponential rate and that my generation, and the ones after, have a future ‘in the stars.’
A large majority of people on Earth do not believe that we are alone in the universe and that there is in fact intelligent extraterrestrial life out there. Many also believe that extraterrestrial visitation to planet Earth has been occurring for a very long time. If one furthers their research into the subject, the evidence to support the claim that we have been visited, and are being visited on a daily bases is abundant. Evidence ranges from official documentation from various sources like UFO researchers, governments, three letter agencies and more. Beyond this we have statements made by very high level military and political personnel. Further, we also have many people on planet Earth who claim to have had direct contact with extraterrestrials themselves. I still believe what people see in the skies are military experiments. As most of us know, the military are over 50 years ahead of our present time regarding technology (if not more). That is only my personal opinion. However, I still like to keep an opened mind.

I prefer NOT to have my mind “made up for me” by opinions expressed by people working to manipulate us in mainstream media, or anyone else, for that matter. I prefer to seek the truth within and even then desire to keep an open mind. Furthermore, I suspect His Holiness might well agree with this preference of mine.

My thoughts exactly… We can’t really cross it out, can we? A conscious person in his role would’ve definitly checked for a branding on the hat and refused to wear it if they actually stood for what they represent.
Just food for thought, does it really matter that much? It’s like the idea of people charging for their services even though they wish to live in a world without money. Money is still require in this world and therefore people have to make it. For the hat, if we simply don’t judge it then it’s just a hat.

Somebody probably put it on his head, he probably has no idea what it means. A really really conscious person mind not have checked the hat at all as well…you can look at it both ways.
If you follow the Dalai Lama, you notice that every time he goes somewhere to speak, they give him a visor to wear, usually with logos of the sponsoring entity on them. It’s not a paid sponsorship.

It’s not like science ever actually catches up – it simply verifies the ideas that you develop when you are aligned with a model of reality that connects your observations more plausibly than the one before.
Its just a remarcable point not to observe difference s between beings of all kinds…….observe the similitudes.Life is ubiquitous …..as conciousnes.

Well, there actually is a scientific theory about ET and Earth people. Panspermia. Meaning that life on earth is actually all extra terrestrial. That genes/DNA/bacteria came to earth about 2 billion + years ago and started Earth life. Part of this is because there was no bacteria / life on Earth before (?) 2 billion (or more?) years ago. And the Earth was created approx 4.5 billion years ago
Now, the ‘essential question’ is asked. Our assumption is that a creator is one with their creation. In this case let us ask, “How does one become aware of their ONEness?” There is an accepted ‘knowing’ that each one of the students has some understanding or experience of their own path to enlightenment. Sometimes we have to dig deep into the recesses of our memories to find instances.
However, most people have had an experience of such serendipitous synchronicity and connectedness as to be undeniable in critical reflection of assumptions. So each shares the most pertinent piece of their journey in recognition of the awareness of their connectedness, however great or small.

Anyone who thinks they definitively know the answer the question of what is going on – be it spirutally, physically or emotionally in the universe, is being inherently unscientific. We can’t know the anwers to all the questions we might have until something is accepted as fact. Now, the earth revolving around the sun is a fact. A few centuries ago it was fiction. We don’t know what we don’t know. Why do people refuse to accept this? Maybe its because it means we lack control over our lives – well yes, we do……..Don’t live your life thinking you know the answers to everything. Live your life because you are lucky to be here in this moment. We know very little about the universe we live in, just get on with it. Be nice to people, love your family, be grateful for what you have. There are a crap load of people in the world that don’t know what leave a reply means, who are alot happier than you. Hope we may not have to wait too long as in Galelio and Copernicus cases where it took centuries for the truth of the shape of Earth to be accepted by “controlling orthodoxy”.Religion was a control which is now deminishing, it’s being replaced by scientific orthodoxy which is being challenged by its own members who are beginning to see and realise something more quantum and inter dimensional and trying to get their heads round it. I went to go see the Dalai Lama at SDSU. I’m assuming it has become a tradition that the host University gives him a hat. He simply puts it on.

Why is that the center of Earth? Doesn’t that depend on the point of view? Longitude and latitude are man-made numbers, they don’t necessarily reflect the natural law of anything. Sorry, but that sounds like bollocks to me…

Firstly, I would like to state for the record that I myself actually do have the quite strong belief that we have been and still are currently visited by beings of extraterrestrial origin.
What annoys me here though is that the Dalai Lama (whom I have an enormous respect and admiration for) is clearly only using the ‘possibility’ of ET contact as an analogy of how we as humans ought to treat each other and, no doubt, all life here on earth.
We cannot assume that he believes or doesn’t believe in past or current ET visits from this video because this clearly wasn’t the point he was addressing.
I feel duped, the title of this article (based upon the video) is clearly misleading.
In addition, and I ought to have put this in my previous comment, this is a big problem with what we might call ‘the truth movement’ in general. It may well be an ‘occupational hazard’ but nevertheless is something which should be recognized. The hazard I refer to is the phenomenon of ‘grasping at straws’, it is all to easy when fighting mass lies, corruption, disinformation and propaganda to see connections where none exist, and mitigating statements and arguments where none exist. It has has occurred here, but this is clearly damaging as it not only undermines the ‘truth movement’ but also inadvertently seems to strengthen the arguments used by those who wish to cover things up as well as those who are merely following them like sheep.
If I were (and not so many years ago I was!) still unaware of much of the incontrovertible facts surrounding ET’s, I would use this article, wrongly, as an argument against such theories. I say wrongly, because like I say, the Dalai Lama is making no statement as to the existence or non existence of ET’s and so his words cannot be used as an argument for or against.
